Lun-Shin Yuen is a Silicon Valley technologist and entrepreneur, who has been involved in startups throughout his career. He is currently an active advisor and investor in startups.
Lun graduated in 1988 with a MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, after which he started as the third engineer at Intuit. While at Intuit, he also oversaw the development of the international versions of Quickbooks. In 1996 he became the co-founder and CTO of Career Central, a job matching SAAS company. It was later rebranded as Cruel World Inc, and acquired by Spencer Stuart in 2000. He later joined Paycycle, a payroll SAAS company, in its formative years, and became the head of Engineering until it’s acquisition by Intuit in 2009. Since then Lun has focused on startup ideas and investments, with a 2 year stint as a Principal Architect at Quicken Inc, which was divested from Intuit in 2016.
He enjoys juggling his active home life with his wife and three children between conversations about technology and games of ultimate frisbee.
